La Locanda del Moro is a completely restored stone farmhouse located on the top of a sunny and panoramic hill near the characteristic medieval village of Sillico, in the heart of Garfagnana. Rugged landscapes, ancient traditions, quality food and villages rich in history attract visitors, looking for a Tuscany still to be discovered and able to offer exciting activities.
The property is surrounded by ancient terraces, now used for grazing the white Garfagnana sheep. Woods of centuries-old chestnut trees, which still today are used to produce the precious flour, all around. The superb view of the Garfagnana valley, the mountains of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennine National Park and the peaks of the Apuan Alps, make this place an antidote to the modern lifestyle.

We are able to keep our promises because we only offer two independent accommodations: Il Lonfo and L’Ormasso, authentically preserved traditional materials reflect the rich heritage of these former house, yet they offer the amenities required for today’s modern traveler.
